About Macy Johnson
Macy Johnson was born and raised in a small town southwest of Des Moines, Iowa. She earned her Bachelor’s in Marketing and Master’s in Communication from Drake University, where she also competed on the women’s softball team. They won back-to-back conference championships in 2018 and 2019, making the regional finals in 2018. Macy was named the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2021.
In November of 2022, Macy made the move from Iowa to Arizona to expand her family’s independent insurance agency. Macy’s father, Eric, started IFG Insurance in Iowa 15 years ago. She now operates her own branch in Gilbert, Arizona serving families and businesses all across the Valley.
About IFG Insurance
IFG Insurance was founded by Eric Johnson in 2009. After working in the banking industry, Eric decided to embark on a new adventure by opening an independent insurance agency in Winterset, Iowa. Over the last fifteen years, he has grown his team to include 12 employees in three different locations, including Winterset and Waukee, Iowa, and a satellite location in Gilbert, Arizona. His wife, Kenna Johnson, joined the team in 2019 after leaving a number of years in education. Eric and Kenna are now empty nesters, who love to travel, golf, fish, and spend time chasing their two children in their adventures.
